Our first impression of the Fire TV interface is that it is an improvement over the previous Fire TV interface. There is still a lot of content to look at if you want to go through the rows on the main screen of the Fire TV interface. We found that some rows on the Fire TV interface have many as 100 titles. The Fire TV interface now has a menu at the top of the screen that divides the Fire TV interface into sections. This menu was not there before. It makes the Fire TV interface look a bit neater and more organised than it was before.
The Fire TV interface has all the global apps, plus the UK catch-up and on-demand apps. These UK catch-up and, on-demand apps are delivered through Freely on the Fire TV interface.
The new interface is designed to be faster than before in some cases. It is thirty percent faster which means you get an experience. The new interface is also thirty percent faster when you use it.
Then there is Alexa. Alexa can help you find what you want fast. You can use Alexa with both models. To use Alexa you have to press a button on the Alexa Voice Remote. You cannot use Alexa without touching the button.

The Ember 2-Series is either 720p for the 32-inch screen or 1080p for the 40-inch screen.
You will want to make sure that you have got the right size screen, for your purposes and also that the streaming services you subscribe to match the resolution of the Ember 4-Series or the Ember 2-Series television. There is not point paying for 4K HDR on a streaming service if you are watching on a small 32-inch screen.

The 4-Series television has a feature called Filmmaker Mode. This mode gives you the accurate picture when you turn it on. The 4-Series and the 2-Series do not support Dolby Atmos. They do have Dolby Digital+.
The 4-Series has a powerful sound system it is 20W the 2-Series is 16W.
The Ember 4-Series is great, for people who like to play games. It has something called ALLM support. It works with Amazons Luna, which has a lot of cloud gaming options. The 2-Series has a gaming hub but it does not have a special game mode.
The 4-Series and the 2-Series both have Amazons Omnisense. This means the television can turn on by itself when you walk by it.
Both the 4-Series and the 2-Series have something called Ambient Experience. You can put your photos, artwork or apps on the screen when the television is not being used. Which TV should you buy in the Prime Day sales?
Performance
If I had to choose which one is better it really depends on what you want from your TV.
Each TV has its unique features.
The Ember 4-Series gives 4K HDR picture quality.
But we had a problem. The image looked a bit fuzzy at times.
This was because of some kind of processing that we couldn’t turn off.
The image wasn’t super sharp especially when watching movies or shows that aren’t in 4K.
The Ember 4-Series isn’t great, at making old stuff look detailed.
It struggles with resolution films and TV shows.
It’s also not very bright for HDR measuring at 341 nits. I would say turn some of the picture settings off to get a detailed picture.

- The black levels look thin. It lacks contrast.
The Ember 2-Series is similar.
It struggles to show HDR content
The colours look pale. The black levels are thin.
The contrast isn’t strong because the TV isn’t bright enough for HDR content.
With non-HDR content it can look okay.
It has the issue with a lack of native sharpness and detail.
The picture quality can be a bit noisy and blurry when things move.
Neither the 4-Series nor the 2-Series seems confident with HDR or upscaling lower resolution titles.
When it comes to sound both do decently with dialogue.
The biggest problem is, with bass.
Neither the 4-Series nor the 2-Series offers bass.
You will probably want to get a soundbar for either one of them.
Final Thoughts
The Ember 4-Series and Ember 2-Series are budget TVs. They have some features.. They are not the best TVs out there. The pictures on these TVs are not very sharp or colorful.
The Ember 4-Series and Ember 2-Series do not do a job of making old videos look good on their screens. The sound on these TVs is not great either. It has trouble with music that has a lot of bass.. The sound is fine when people are talking.
The new menu on the Ember 4-Series and Ember 2-Series is easier to use. It is more organized.. There are too many options. This can be confusing. You can use Alexa to help you find what you want.. It is still a lot to go through.
The Ember 4-Series has some features. It has 4K HDR. This means the picture is a bit better. It also has options for connecting things and playing games. If you just want a TV the Ember 2-Series might be okay.
Overall the Ember 4-Series and Ember 2-Series TVs are not the value for the money. If you want to buy one you should wait for a sale. This way you can get a deal, on the Ember 4-Series or Ember 2-Series.
